At Station Car Sales we carry out a wide range of checks and inspections on our vehicles before we are 100% satisfied for them to go onto our forecourt for the public to buy. Our reputation as a reliable and honest car dealership is second to none by providing comprehensive vehicle preparation on all our used cars.

HPI Check

To start all our vehicles are put through an HPI check which covers the following:

Checks if a car has been stolen - sourced from the Police National Computer Database
Check if a car has been written off as a result of damage or theft
Checks if a car has been written off and then repaired including the Association of British Insurers coding of damage sustained
Checks if a car has outstanding finance which can ultimately lead to the vehicle being repossessed. HPI checks over 7 million finance agreements on its database
Check the car against the National Mileage Register to see if it has been subject to ‘clocking’
Checks the vehicle identity including model, make, colour, engine size, specification and transmission type, number of owners it has had and finally date of registration

Practical Check

Every vehicle is checked for mechanical problems. If any are found they are corrected by repair or replacement. The bodywork is checked over for any damage, dents or scratches which are repaired. The car will be fully valeted before the sale is completed.
